Some Islamic Meditations

The Holy Quran tells us that the purpose of this life is to worship Allah.

“I created jinn and mankind only to worship Me” (Quran 51:56)

Hence meditation in Islam should be true to this purpose.

Some forms of worship mentioned in the Quran include: expressing  gratitude and appreciation, remembering Allah by his beautiful names, remembering Allah’s attributes, and surrendering of our worldly notions and trusting Allah.

This site suggests meditation techniques based on these forms of worship.  May these meditation practices bring peace to your heart and engender a deeper understanding of Islam.
